Former South Africa captain and legendary batsman Graeme Smith has announced his engagement to Romy Lanfranchi whom he’s been dating quite long. Proteas one of the successful opener Smith confirmed the engagement on social accounts Instagram and Twitter.

Graeme Smith to enter in married life for the second time as he was married to Irish celebrity Morgan Deane between 2011 and 2015. He and Deane had two kids together, a boy named Carter McMorrin Smith and a girl named Cadence Christine Smith.
Smith and Morgan’s marriage couldn’t be successful for more than four years and both get separated with divorce. After this, former South African cricketer get in touch with Romy Lanfranchi through a mutual friend.
“I have been separated from Morgan since the end of December 2014 and it’s been a difficult time for me as we deal with the protracted separation proceedings. Romy and I are enjoying the time we spend together and I am very happy,” Smith said in an interview when he was going through separation period from Morgan Deane.

This is not first marriage for Romy as well as she was married to a guy named Michel who died due to brain hemorrhage after living 8 years with Lanfranchi. Michel passed away in August 2013. Romy has two sons from her previous marriage.
Pair Graeme Smith and Romy Lanfranchi has a child together named Biff in 2016. Romy is a professional Attorney based in Cape Town.
Later one day, Romy also confirmed their engagement through twitter.
