The fixtures and schedule for forthcoming Asia Cup have been declared that will be played from 24 February to 6 March 2016 in Bangladesh. 5 Asian teams will compete in the competition. Apart from hosts Bangladesh, Asian giants India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be playing in the tournament. One qualifying from Asia Cup 2016 qualifiers will play in the main event.

This is the first occasion in Asia Cup’s history when competition will be played in T20 format. Bangladesh to play India in the opening match of tournament on 24 February at Shere-e-bangla international stadium in Dhaka. All 11 matches of Asia Cup will be played on this venue.

Sri Lanka is the defending champion in competition and will be facing qualifier team in their first match of event on 25th February. Oman, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Afghanistan are set to play against each other in the qualifying tournament for Asia Cup.
