An all-rounder in a team is a guy who can bat and bowl as per the team as per required. All-rounder’s role is very crucial in New Zealand and Australia conditions where bowlers and batsmen both get advantage. 11th ICC world cup is going to take place in these conditions hence All-rounders will be playing a huge role for their respective sides to make chances closer to world cup.
Today I am going to discuss some brilliant all-rounders from various participating teams who can contribute a lot for their side to win the world cup.
Shahid Afridi
One of the most senior batsmen in Pakistan 15-man squad Shahid Afridi can be the man for Pakistan to repeat the glory of 1992 world cup. He has been playing for Pakistan since 1996 and this is going to be his last ODI series as he will not play ODIs after this ICC world cup. Afridi is the most senior all-rounder of 2015 cricket world cup.
Afridi has played 391 international ODIs till now in which he scored 7948 runs at an average of 23.58 including 6 hundreds and 39 fifties. He also took 393 wickets in these 391 games. He’ll be looking to end his career with a world cup win. He can be the star all-rounder of tournament as he has already mentioned that he wants to hold the record of fastest century and break Ab de Villiers record of 31 balls.

Darren Sammy
West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy has played 119 matches in which he scored 1694 runs at an average of 24.20 with a brilliant strike rate of 100. He is still away from his first ODI hundred. Sammy has taken 80 wickets in these played 119 games at an economy of 4.60.
Sammy will be the key player for Caribbean team in 2015 world cup as he bats at the lower order and bowl good spells in the middle of innings and depth overs sometimes. In the absence of Pollard and Dwayne Bravo he’ll be having big opportunity to play for West Indies.
Moeen Ali
England’s rising star all-rounder Moeen Ali can make everyone his fan with his batting and bowling skills. He has only played 17 One-Days but has shown good batting temperament at the start of inning. Moeen Ali has scored 540 runs in these 17 games at an average of 31.75 for England cricket team. He also hit one century.
Moeen Ali can be England’s trump card in Australia and New Zealand pitches as he bowls spin bowling as well with tight line and length. He has already taken 17 wickets in played 17 matches at an economy of 4.70.

James Faulkner
Though Faulkner will not play Australia’s opening match of world cup against England but he’ll be the key player for Kangaroos in the tournament. Faulkner is a bowling all-rounder but he has done pretty well with a bat. James Faulkner has made 770 runs in 29 innings at an average of 48 which is normally an average of top order batsman.
Faulkner has also taken 50 wickets in 38 matches at an economy of 5.64. He is one of the guys who can change match any time from his batting and bowling. Faulkner has also scored a century in ODI match. In Australia’s line-up he’ll be the key player to watch out and can be the star performer of world cup as all-rounder.
Glenn Maxwell
Australia’s batting all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will be the key player for Kangaroos in mega cricket event. He has represented Aussies in 41 ODIs in which he scored 1043 runs at an average of 30. He is a destructive batsman and his strike rate of 115.76 proves that how much he is destructive. He is yet to score maiden ODI hundred.
Glenn Maxwell is also a part time bowler but sometimes his bowling change the mode of game. Maxwell has taken 28 wickets in 41 games with best figures of 46/4 in a match. So Glenn Maxwell will be among the top all-rounders list in 2015 ICC world cup.
Shane Watson
Another all-rounder from Australia who can be one of the best players of tournament. Currently Shane Watson is facing hamstring injury but he’ll be fit before the starting of world cup. Watson bats at the top of order and he is one of the main parts of Australian 15-man squad. He has represented Australia in 180 matches in which he scored 5478 runs at an average of 40.57 with 9 hundreds and 31 fifties.
Shane Watson also provide flexibility to Australian side with his medium pace bowling. He has taken 164 wickets at an economy of 4.90. So Shane Watson will be one of the top all-rounders in 11th cricket world cup.
Angelo Mathews
Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews will be one of the most exciting all-rounders in cricket world cup to watch. He has played 149 matches till now in which Mathews scored 3588 runs at an average of 40.

30. Angelo Mathews has scored 25 fifties and one century in his international career. He has got 9 wickets as well in played matches.
Angelo Mathews will be one of the key players for Sri Lanka in this world cup if they want to win their second cricket world cup.
Corey Anderson
The rising New Zealand young star Corey Anderson will be the key batman and bowler in the world cup. Corey Anderson has proved that how much dangerous batsman in world cricket when he broke Afridi’s fastest century record in 36 balls, later AB de Villiers clinched this record from Anderson. Corey has scored 687 runs in played 26 ODIs for NZ at an average of 36.
Corey Anderson has also taken 36 wickets in his small career at an economy of 6.2. He is kind of batsman who plays at the lower of order and make fast match winning runs for team. He can be one of the biggest all-rounders of 2015 ICC world cup.
