2022 FIFA World Cup hosts Qatar were playing their first ever semi-final match of Asian Cup football event but the way team played and handled the situation, it didn’t reflect that they were appearing in such knockout for the first time. From the start of the game, Qatar was putting pressure on neighbors and trying hard to score.
Boualem Khoukhi got opportunity in the 22nd minute of the match and he scored an amazing goal to give his side lead. Just after 15 minutes of first goal, Qatar’s star player Almoez Ali scored another goal to double team’s lead and Qatari side was leading by 2-0 at the end of first half.
The game was going away far from United Arab Emirates and Qatari team was exceptional. In the 80th minute of semi-final, Hassan Al-Haydos scored third goal of the match and visitors were in total control while hosts were desperate to score. But UAE didn’t get much opportunities and time was running.
The confirmatory goal was scored in the 90+3 minute to make sure Qatar will play historical Asian Cup 2019 final against Japan on Friday. Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium will be hosting the final match on February 1 from 18:00 local time.
