Pakistan have announced the complete squad for the upcoming cricket world cup 2019 in England & Wales. Premium fast bowler Mohammed Amir has been omitted from the 15-member squad although he’s included in the 17-man roster that will face England in ODI series. Asif Ali will also be playing in England series but not in world cup as per the current squad. However Pakistan have time to finalize roster by 23rd May as per ICC rules and regulations.
Young fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been included in the team which was expected as national team selector Inzamam-Ul-Haq is closely monitoring the young players like him. Shaheen Afridi is also named in the Pakistani preliminary squad for cricket world cup’s 12th edition.
“Hasnain has been selected due to his sheer pace and speed. He may not have played many ODIs but he has already made an impact by making the top batsmen hop and run in his brief career while also picking up wickets,” Inzamam said.
