New Zealand Cricket Board has announced tests, ODIs and twenty20 squads for upcoming England’s tour in May-June 2015. 50-over format hero Kiwi batsman Martin Guptill is included in test squad after almost two years. Guptill played last test match cricket in May, 2013.

Recently Martin Guptill scored first double century in ODI format at world cup. He played some great knocks in the tournament to show that he can be fitted in longer format of game as well. Blackcaps coach Mike Hesson mentioned that Guptill will be vital player for Kiwis on England tour.
He said, “This is a stable, established Test side but there will be opportunities for contenders. Martin’s a classically styled batsman and there’s really no reason why he can’t be as influential in the longer game as he is in the short.”
Matt Henry will be making debut in test matches for New Zealand after displaying good show in ODIs. Hesson said, “It’s another step up for Matt but we’ve been impressed by the maturity and skill-set he’s already shown in the ODI format.”
