2015 National Games of India have been scheduled to play in Kerala from 31 January to 14 February across seven cities. This is the second occasion when Kerala is organizing National Games as 27th National Games were also held at Kerala in 1987. Former Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is the goodwill ambassador in 35th National Games.
Mascot
Ammu, The Great Hornbill is the official mascot of 2015 National Games. The Great Indian Hornbill is the state bird of Kerala and it selected as mascot of the national games to reflect that organizers and government are keen to save the species.
The female name of 35th national games that is Ammu is selected to remind people that Kerala are proud of that they have the highest women ratio in India.
Games Village
Games Village is one of the center attractions of 2015 National Games in Kerala. It is constructed on the novel concept of “Prefabricated Housing Technology”. A total of 365 pre-fab houses are constructed and 5 athletes of tournament will share single room. Team officials and Coaches will be having single or double rooms. The face of using the Prefabricated Housing Technology is that the entire construction can be completed in 6 month time period.
The Game Village is located at Menamkulam in Trivandrum at Kerala, India. Total capacity of Games Village is 5000. Social infrastructures such as kitchen, food courts, reception desks, medical centre, recreational zone, health club, open air theatre, conference halls etc are included in the Games Village.

Theme Song and Promo Film
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had formally released the official theme song of National Games of India 2015. The three minute song is written by Javed Akhtar and composed by Hariharan. Salim Merchant, K.J. Yesudas, Shreya Ghoshal, Shweta Mohan, Benny Dayal, Akshay Hariharan have sung the song.

Schedule
The opening ceremony of 2015 National Games will be held in Greenfield Stadium at Thiruvananthapuram on 31st January. The sports games will begin from 1st February onwards and conclude on 13 February. Closing ceremony will be hosted at Greenfield stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on 14th February.
