Sensational hitting from Caribbean superstar Kieron Pollard has guided Mumbai Indians to register their 4th victory in VIVO IPL 2021 season. Pollard smashed unbeaten 87 runs in just 34 balls to give Chennai Super Kings second defeat of this year’s Indian Premier League. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won toss and invited CSK to put runs on the board.

CSK batting was sensational on IPL’s EL-Classico battle as team posted 218 runs on the board after completion of 20 overs. Ambati Rayudu was fantastic for Super Kings as he smacked 72 runs in just 27 balls. Faf Du Plessis and Moeen Ali also scored crucial fifties to help out 3-time IPL champion to post such huge total.

At one stage CSK were too ahead in the game as MI lost 3 top batsmen within 10 overs when team’s score was under 85. Mumbai required more than 13 runs per over from here on and only one man could do this for them i.e. Kieron Pollard. He started to exploit with Krunal Pandya and both players 89 crucial runs in the chase. After this Hardik came to bat and he smashed 2 sixes in his short 7 balls innings.
