Messi to return in Argentina Squad in March to prepare for Copa America

Argentina’s star footballer Lionel Messi is set to return to international football in March 2019 when team will play friendly matches to get prepared for Copa America this June. As per several local reports, Messi to feature in Argentine squad for the friendly fixtures against Venezuela and Czech Republic.

As Messi returns to national side, he’ll remove self-imposed ban from him and will serve country in prestigious South American soccer championship. Legendary footballer has not played single international match since Argentina’s exit from 2018 world cup knockout stage when title winners France beat them in round of 16 game.

Not only Messi but also Angel Di Maria will be making comeback to the national side after 9 months journey from Russia world cup to friendly matches against Venezuela and Czech Republic. Argentina to take on Venezuela on 22 March meanwhile Czech Republic is scheduled for 26th March.

Lionel Messi has scored 65 goal till now for national team in played 128 matches.

Argentina is placed in Group-B of 2019 Copa America and team will be facing Colombia in their opening fixture of tournament on 15 June in Salvador. Brazil is hosting the showpiece event from 14 June to 7 July.
