Melbourne Stars are going to take on Hobart Hurricanes in the third match of big bash league 2014-15. This is the first game for Hobart Hurricanes in BBL|04 tournament. Melbourne Stars will be playing their second game of competition as they lost inaugural match against Adelaide Strikers. HBH vs MLS match is scheduled to begin at 7:40 PM local time in Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Hobart Hurricanes will be playing under George Bailey’s captaincy whereas Cameron White to lead Melbourne Stars. The match is going to be crucial for MLS as they lost previous game by big margin against Adelaide Strikers. Melbourne Stars needs to improve their bowling as they gave 140+ runs in just 12.3 overs. Their bowler didn’t bowl well in the last game which caused the match.
In batting department MLS needs to improve as well. 140-150 runs are not enough in a twenty20 game. The only good thing for Melbourne Stars is that Kevin Pietersen and opener Luke Wright seemed to be in good touch in last match. Wright missed fifty but Pietersen didn’t. Except these both batsmen no other batsman contributed in the match. Local guys need to perform well.
This is the first match for Hobart Hurricanes in 2014-15 big bash season. They will be looking to start with a win. HBH batting line up looks solid in sights of destructive English t20 opener Alex Hales, captain George Bailey, Tim Paine and Caribbean batsman Darren Sammy.
