Kick-off times for 2022 FIFA World Cup matches have been confirmed as World Cup organizing committee The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy assistant secretary general Nasser al-Khater told local broadcaster Qatar television that the group stage matches to kick off at 13:00 Doha time.
He also announced that they’re planning to host four games in a day for group stage matches. Qatar’s temperature and weather will be pleasant during November-December that can allow us to see four matches in a day. However he also mentioned that timings will be finalized after talking with tournament governing council FIFA.
“There’s a proposition to hold four matches a day, one at 13:00, 16:00, 19:00, and 22:00 Doha time (GMT+3). This will be finalised with FIFA. We are currently planning for three matches per day, but also considering four a day as the weather and temperature will be good, and also all stadiums enjoying air conditioning,” Naseer said.
The first match of day to begin at 10:00 GMT and then three games to be followed at 13:00, 16:00 and 19:00 GMT.
2022 world cup is scheduled to play in winter season from 21 November to 18 December. Number of teams for the 22nd fifa world cup is still yet to be confirmed as organization is planing to extend 32-team event into 48.
