Sri Lanka cricket team got blow ahead of crucial match against Australia on Sunday as their middle order batsman Dimuth Karunaratne has got injury during practice session on Thursday. This leads Sri Lanka board to send Kusal Perera as stand by player for Karunaratne.
In a media release Sri Lankan board said, “Dimuth Karunaratne broke a bone in his right hand during practice today. Kusal Janith Perera will leave today for Australia to be on standby for Dimuth. ICC Technical Committee will be informed of the new development and a Surgeon will check on him tomorrow and advice the Team Management of his recommendations.
