Junaid replaced Injured Sohail in PAK ODI squad for Bangladesh tour

Pakistan got injury concern before traveling to Bangladesh as Sohail Khan has been ruled out from the tour due to back injury. Sohail was a part of PAK team on Bangladesh tour but now he will not be playing ODIs and he is replaced by Junaid Khan. Junaid was included in Test and T20I squads but now he’ll be playing One-Day Internationals as well in Bangladesh series.

Sohail Khan was injured during a practice session on Friday. He received lower back pain and then he went for the medical scan in which he was advised to rest at least for two weeks. This enforced selectors to announce Junaid Khan as replacement of Sohail.

PCB Chief selector Haroon Rasheed told espncricinfo that Sohail was advised to take 2 weeks rest and the team management isn’t confirm how much serious injury Sohail has.

He said, “After the uncertain fitness of Sohail, we have decided to add Junaid Khan to continue in the ODIs as well. We cant say how serious Sohail’s injury is at the moment but he is presently advised two weeks rest.”

First ODI match of Bangladesh vs Pakistan series is scheduled to play on 17 April, 2015 at Dhaka.
