The upcoming 2015 Hopman Cup in January will be missing two big names as American male player Jack Sock and France’s Jo-Wikfried Tsonga have withdrawn from the tournament. Both Jack and Tsonga have been suffering from injury which led them to take name back from the hopman cup XXVII scheduled to be played from 4 to 10 January in Perth Arena.

John Isner will replace Jack Sock in the competition and will represent United States with number one female star Serena Williams. Benoit Paire to replace Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 27th edition on Hopman Cup for defending champions French. Paire to be paired with Alize Cornet in the tournament.

He didn’t play last two seasons of event due to ankle and knee injury. John Isner said, “I always like playing in Perth. It’s the perfect start to the year and I always have a great time on and off the court. It’s not good to hear Jack is battling injury and I hope he gets well soon.”

United States America’s John Isner-Serena Williams to play first game of hopman cup XXVII against Italy’s Flavia Pennetta-Fabio Fognini on 5th January. France pair Benoit Paire-Alize Cornet will play their opening match of event on Great Britain’s Heather Watson-Andy Murray on January 5, 2015.

John believes that participating in hopman cup will help him in 2015 Australian open which is scheduled to be held from 19 January to 1 February.

“For me, playing the Hopman Cup is perfect preparation for the Australian Open. It allows me to get down there early, get used to the heat and, on top of that, get top-notch, quality matches,” he added.
