Sherfane Rutherford is the latest West Indies edition to Mumbai Indians squad as the franchise is always keen to have young Caribbean players in their roster. Kieron Pollard and Alzarri Joseph are the notable names in the list. Team owner Akash Ambani believes that Rutherford would be an impressive choice for them in the next IPL season.
“I am excited to welcome the talented Sherfane into our family. He has impressed us with his all-round skills and match-winning attitude. His exploits across the world at such an early stage of his career have been impressive and we believe he finds his home at MI,” he added.
Mumbai Indians will be title defending champions in the 2020 Indian Premier League as they claimed 2019 trophy defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final.
