Indian Premier League eighth edition is set to start from 8 April, 2015 and defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders to take on 2013 IPL winners Mumbai Indians in the opening match of tournament. Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host inaugural match of IPL-8 and final will also be held in the same stadium. There will be 56 group matches will be played throughout the competition excluding knockout stage.
IPL committee hasn’t declared the venues for qualifiers and eliminator round. First qualifier will be played on 19th May whereas eliminator game will be played on 20 May. Second qualifier is scheduled for 22 May, 2015. IPL 2015 final will be hosted at Eden Gardens on 24 May.
