Three Indian cricketers have taken hat-trick in test matches over the years. First ever hat trick in test cricket for India was taken by Harbhajan Singh. Spin bowler dismissed 3 Australian batsmen during Australia’s tour of India 2001.
Apart from Harbhajan, Irfan Pathan and Jasprit Bumrah are the other Indian bowlers who got the achievement of taking three wickets on successive balls.

1. Harbhajan Singh (2001 vs Australia)
Harbhajan Singh was the first Indian to take hat-trick in tests. He dismissed Ponting, Gilchrist and Warne on consecutive balls during the test match played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

2. Irfan Pathan (2006 vs Pakistan)
Medium pace bowler Irfan Pathan became the second Indian bowler to take hat trick in test cricket. He dismissed three Pakistani batsmen Salman Butt, Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf during India’s tour of Pakistan 2006. Karachi’s national stadium was the venue for this remarkable feat on 29 January.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took third hat-trick in test cricket as an Indian. He achieved this milestone on India’s tour of West Indies 2019 when he dismissed three Caribbean batsmen Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase on successive balls.
