ICC cricket world cup 2015 opening ceremony and events in Melbourne and Christchurch.

International Cricket Council has declared that opening events of 2015 ICC world cup are scheduled to take place on 12th February in Melbourne and Christchurch, just two days before the main event begins.  The opening events will reflect the culture and diversity of 14 participating countries in the tournament. ICC has also declared that fans and interested people can join the opening events of world cup 2015.

Opening events of 2015 world cup will start with some spectacular fireworks display. Event will consist several music and cultural performances, fireworks and there will be some entertainment super stars of Australia and New Zealand in the opening ceremony.

Both events are free but still you need a ticket in Melbourne to watch the opening ceremony but don’t bother for tickets in Christchurch.

ICC said in a release, “The Melbourne event is a free event, however a ticket is required for entry. Tickets are strictly limited and available on a first come, first served basis via www.cricketworldcup.com from midday on January 12th 2015.”

You don’t require any ticket to be a part of opening event in Christchurch.
