Germany beat Nigeria 3-0 to enter 2019 Women’s world cup quarterfinals

Germany women’s have thrashed Nigerian football team to qualify for the quarter-final stage of FIFA world cup 2019 for women’s in France. Alexandra Popp scored the first goal of match for Germany as she hit the net in 20th minute. After that Sara Dabritz got brilliant penalty and she cashes on that to give German team a lead of 2-0 in the 27th minute.

The German team was leading with 2-0 scoreline at the end of first half. There was complete domination from Germany and Super Falcons were nowhere in the game. Lea Schuller score the final goal of the match in 82nd minute and that gave Germany a victory of 3-0 in this first round of 16 match at FIFAWWC 2019.

21-year old Schuller has scored 9 goals for national women’s till date in her 16 appearances for Germany. Alexandra Popp was awarded player of the match trophy for her excellent opening goal of the match. With this victory, Germany has become only team to make at least of the quarterfinal of FIFA Women’s World Cup in all editions.

Germany will now play quarterfinal either against Sweden or Canada on 29th June.
