DR Congo beat Congo by 4-2 to qualify for semifinal of 2015 Africa cup of nations.

DR Congo football team has beaten Congo in the first quarterfinal match of 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to make it through semis. DR won by 4-2 score to qualify for the semi-final match to be played on 4 February at Estadio de Bata, Bata.

DR Congo beat Congo by 4-2 to qualify for semifinal of 2015 Africa cup of nations.

After goal less first half, both teams speed up and scored 6 goals in the second half. Ferebory Dore hit the first goal of the match in 55th minute for Congo. Just After seven minutes, Thievy Bifouma scored one more goal for Congo to take 2-0 lead over DR Congo. Now its pressure time for DR Congo and team played superb football in to take over lead from Congo.

Dieumerci Mbokani scored the 1st goal of match for DR Congo in 65th minute. Now Dr Congo team was full charged up and they were showing some serious aggressiveness on the field to scores the level. In 75th minute Jeremy Bokila came to action and hit the goal to scores the level for DR Congo. Now both sides were at 2-2 in this knockout game.

The DR Congo side was full on song and in the 81st minute of first quarterfinal, Joel Kimwaki hit the brilliant goal for DR Congo to lead the match by 3-2. Time was passing and now Congo was finding goal to score the level. But they couldn’t beat DR Congo defence.

Mbokani confirmed DR Congo’s victory in the match by scoring his second and fourth goal of DR Congo in the match. He hit the goal in 91st minute.

Dr Congo will now face winner of fourth quarterfinal which can be either Algeria or Ivory Coast.
