South Africa has announced the test, ODI and twenty20 squads for upcoming tour of India in October-November. Spinners Imran Tahir, Dane Piedt and Simon Harmer are included for the 4 test matches series also named as Gandhi-Mandela series. Tahir was not part of SA team in the previous series in Bangladesh whereas Piedt only test for country last year.
South Africa will play 3 T20Is, 5 ODIs and 4 Tests in October-November. First match of series will be played on 2nd October 2015 which is a twenty20 match to be held at Dharamshala. CSA announced 15-15 members squads for all three formats with 3 different captains.
Faf du Plessis to lead T20 team whereas AB de Villiers will be captaining One Day International side. Hashim Amla is named captain of test squad.
CSA selection convener Linda Zondi said, “We want to keep all our options open for the Test Series. We also have JP Duminy as an option in this department and I believe we have covered all our bases by having both holding and attacking spin options in our squad.

“Imran is our No. 1 bowler in the T20 format and we need him to play every series between now and the ICC tournament while Eddie Leie will be our second spinner as we want to have another look at what he can do,” Mr. Linda added.
