Of breaking, the publication still divulged the logo of the tournament, in art constituted by the colors of the Brazilian flag and a drawing of what would be fans vibrating with the cup .The Copa America 2019 will have a new feature: it will be played by 12 teams instead of 10, as Japan and Qatar , both from the Asian continent, were invited to participate in the competition.
Seven cities will host the tournament, among which are: Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Paulo (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG), Porto Alegre (RS), Brasilia (DF) and Salvador (BA). The last wave is disputed between Fortaleza (CE) and Recife (PE). The capital of São Paulo is the only one that will have two stadiums, with the use of the arenas of Corinthians and Palmeiras .
The Chilean team, which did not qualify for the 2018 World Cup, is the current two-time Copa America champion. La Roja won the titles in 2015, when he hosted, and in 2016, when the competition had its centennial edition.
The 2019 competition, by the way, should be the last one played in odd years. As promised to CONMEBOL, the tournament will have an alternative edition in 2020 and, from then on, will be played in parallel to the Eurocopa (in 2024, 2028, 2032, etc).
