The 65-year-old manager Jose Pekerman has announced the final squad for 44th edition of Copa America beginning from 11 June, 2015. He has short down the list of 30 member preliminary squad that he announced before few days back. Star striker Radamel Falcao, midfielders James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado are included in 23-man Colombian team for the event at Chile.
Abel Aguilar, Juan Fernando Quintero, Fredy Guarin and Eder Alvarez Balanta have already out from the 23 players list as they got respective injuries. This made selection easy for Pekerman as he was required to reject only 3 players from remaining squad.
In press conference Mr. Pekerman said, “We fully trust in Falcao being important for Colombia. He’s in good spirits and in good condition. We hope that he can return to his best form at the Copa América, but we must recognise the other good forwards we have.”
