China women’s national football team player Wang Shanshan has said that nation is targeting fifa world cup 2019 trophy and team is preparing hard to do well in France. 28-year old Shanshan believes that road will not be easy for Chinese women at the world cup.
“We will do our best in each step. We will survive the group stage, enter the elimination round and finally fight for the title. With the popularization of women’s football, no team could be conquered easily. What we can do is try to improve ourselves and do our best,” Shanshan said.
Wang Shanshan who scored nine goals in a match during Asian Games 2018, has got faith in the side and she thinks that team can do better than previous 2015 edition where China made into the quarterfinals but couldn’t go further.
“Last time we are among the top eight. If we would like to progress step-by-step, this time we should at least make to the semi-final. Of course for each team the ultimate goal is the final. The stronger your opponent is, the more motivated you will be,” She mentioned.

Chinese women are placed in the group B of tournament along with two time women’s world cup champion Germany, South Africa and strong Spain side. 2019 FIFA women’s world cup to kick off on June 7 while China to play their first match of championship against Germany on 8th June.
