Canada women’s national soccer team head coach John Herdman has announced 23-women squad for the upcoming FIFA women’s world cup. Forward player Christine Sinclair is given responsibility to lead the side for the first world cup win.
On the announcement of squad coach John Herdman said, “We’ve got a fantastic group of players here that are ready to step up and proudly represent their country on the biggest stage. It’s now up to Canadians to show them they are not alone on this journey and that they’ve got the strength of an entire country with them.”
Canada is in the Group A of FIFA women’s 2015 world cup and will be facing China, New Zealand and Netherlands in the group matches.
