Great news for Pakistan cricket fans as Sri Lanka board have confirmed that national team will tour Pakistan to play three One-Day Internationals and three T20s next month. Initially there were reports that Sri Lanka will play at least one test match in Pakistan but SLC board have not reached the decision to play test cricket in the nation at the moment.

The test cricket series between two countries has been rescheduled and it will be played in December 2019. Karachi to host 3-ODI matches meanwhile 3-T20I games to take place in Lahore.

“The PCB is pleased with the outcome of its discussions with Sri Lanka Cricket, which has supported Pakistan in its efforts and endeavours for the complete revival of international cricket,” PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said.

27 September – 1st ODI, Karachi
29 September – 2nd ODI, Karachi
2 October – 3rd ODI, Karachi
5 October – 1st T20I, Lahore
7 October – 2nd T20I, Lahore
9 October – 3rd T20I, Lahore

Sri Lanka sent 4-member delegation to Pakistan in the second week of August to review the security arrangements of players for proposed test series by PCB and after reviewing the report, SL board decided to send their team to Pakistan for limited overs cricket instead of tests. However it is still unclear that what will be the venue for December’s test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
