Brazil have registered victory in the opening match of Copa America 46th edition as they have defeated Bolivia by 3-0 in the Group-A match on Friday. Star striker Philippe Coutinho hit two goals in this win for Selecao meanwhile Everton also hit the net.

First half of the match was goal less and it was frustrating for hosts not to score the goal despite few opportunities given by opposition. As return to the pitch after half time, Coutinho opened the account for Brazil and he scored the first goal of 2019 Copa America tournament. Thanks to VAR and Jusino for conceding penalty and Coutinho took full advantage of it in 49th minute to score 1st goal.

The second goal came in just 4 minutes span as Coutinho head the ball to the net sent by a brilliant cross from Firmino. In the 53rd minute of the Brazil-Bolivia match, Selecao were leading by 2-0. Substitute Everton scored the stunning goal of the match in 85th minute to give Brazil 3-0 victorious lead.

This was Brazil’s 100th win in Copa America tournament. Philippe Coutinho was awarded player of the match for his two goals in the game.

Brazil to play their next fixture of the competition against Venezuela on 18 June meanwhile Bolivia will be up against Peru on the same day.
