Australia beat England in style to win tri-series

Australian Cricket team has won 2015 Carlton mid ODI tri-series by defeating England in the final. Australia defeats England by big margin of 112 runs to clinch the trophy. Aussies completely out dates English side today and win the competition in their dominance style. Australia didn’t loss single match in the series and beat England & India comfortably.

Having lost the toss Australia was forced to bat on the bouncy track of WACA. Australia didn’t get good start and lost Aaron Finch in the first over. Steven smith tried to handle the pressure with Warner and Bailey but he failed. Top four Australian batsmen returned to pavilion in 18th over and team was struggling at 60/4.

Maxwell and Marsh built good partnership for Australia and took team’s total past 200 in 41 overs. Maxwell was looking dangerous and was leading towards hundred but once again he missed it and got out on 95. He hit 15 fours in his 95 runs inning in 98 balls. Just after his dismissal Mitchell Marsh also got out, he made 60. James Faulkner played match winning inning in the last overs and he scored 50 runs in 24 balls. Australia made 278 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

It wasn’t easy target for England in WACA, especially when Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood and Faulkner were there in Australian bowling attack. England never chased 278 runs in One-Days against Australia, so they had to make history. But English team failed to do so and whole team got all out in 40 overs after scoring 166.

Australia won the triangular series final by 112 runs and lift the trophy. For scoring brilliant 95 and taking 4 wickets in England inning, Glenn Maxwell was announced Man of The Match. Mitchell Starc was awarded man of the series.
