One of the most interesting things about ISL finale is that former Indian cricket team legends Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar will be up against each other. This is so because Sourav Ganguly is the co-owner of Atletico de Kolkata and Sachin Tendulkar owns the franchise of Kerala Blasters FC in Indian Super League.
The road to ISL final wasn’t easy for both the teams. Atletico de Kolkata beat Goa FC in the semifinal match’s second leg by 4-2 in penalty shootout. Kolkata stood at the third position in league’s points table. ATK won 4 matches in the league stage of competition and played 7 draws with securing 19 points.
Kerala Blasters FC won 5 games in the league stage of 2014 Indian Super League tournament and managed to earn 19 points in the points table. Kerala lost 5 games in the first round of league. They performed like under dogs in the inaugural season of ISL and after losing couple of matches in the beginning they bounced back and qualified for the knockout stage. Kerala Blasters FC beat Chennaiyin in the semifinal match by 4-3 on aggregate to enter in the final.
Indian Super League final is going to be exciting thriller as there are some fabulous footballers like Iain Hume, Colin Falvey and Mehtab Hossain from Atletico de Kolkata are up against Kerala Blasters FC’s Josemi, Luis Garcia and Mohammad Rafi.
What do you think first Indian Super League’s title tomorrow? Atletico de Kolkata or Kerala Blasters FC?
