BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that India will host England in a day-night test match during England tour of India 2021. Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium will be country’s first venue that will be holding a pink ball test match.
At Kolkata press club during a book launch event, former Indian cricket team captain Ganguly said that BCCI would be desperate to host the series in India and are focusing on creating bio-bubble environment.
“Ahmedabad will hold the day-night Test,” Ganguly said during the book launch event in Kolkata Press Club.
On been asked about the venues for the India-England tests, Dada said that there is a lot of time to finalize things as before hosting English team, we have to focus on Australia tour.
“We have made some tentative plans but nothing has been decided as of now. We still have four months’ time,” he quoted.

“Before England, we have Australia series coming up. There will be team selection happening in a few days.”
Ahmedabad’s Motera stadium is recently reconstructed and it has no capacity of 1,10,000 which is highest in the world if compared to any cricket ground.
