Quinteros said, “We don’t know if he is going to be able to play. On Friday, they will take out the stitches and he will be able to train. We will see if he can play the second match with us or not.”
“This is not the definitive list. There are players that still have chances and need to prove they can be involved. If there was any internal problem in the team, it’s over. The important thing now is that I need to not make mistakes in the team I am going to pick for the Copa America.”
Ecuador will play Mexico on 28 March, 2015 at Los Angeles.
