Top official from England Rugby have confirmed that they are not planing to place any bid for 2027 world cup. Rugby Australia are favorites to host the 11th edition of world cup but on Saturday their chairman Hamish McLennan said that they’re expecting a rival bid from England rugby.
“The bid will be launched next year with a decision to be made in 2022, so no one other than ourselves have formally indicated that they’ll put a bid forward at this point in time,” McLennan told ABC media.
“We hear the US and potentially England may have a crack, so we’ll just wait and see but there’s a few months for the other bidders to register their interest,” he added further.

A reliable source from Rugby Football Union (RFU) said that English bid for 2027 world cup is unlikely meanwhile they’re keen on 2031 event.
“We have no plans in place to bid for 2027,” spokesperson said.
