Shahid Afridi eyeing to reclaim fastest odi hundred record during world cup 2015.

Pakistan’s destructive batsman Shahid Afridi has said that he wants to regain fastest ODI hundred record during ICC world cup 2015 or New Zealand tour. He mentioned that to make such a record you need blessing from god and it should be your day.

Shahid Afridi said, “You never plan out to set such records. It just happens when you have a very special day and your confidence is sky high. If everything works out for me and it is my special day than I will try to improve the record set by Ab de Villers in New Zealand or in the World Cup.”

Afridi had already claimed fastest odi century for around 17 years. He scored quickest ton of One-Day internationals against Sri Lanka in Nairobi. Shahid completed hundred in 37 balls.

He said it was my day and everything went in my favor. He is hoping again that if he has got such kind of day in upcoming cricket world cup.

He said, “It just happened that day it was my special day and everything clicked. I hope I get another special day in the coming World Cup if it can happen I will try to get back the record of which I was always proud.”

Afridi also praised Ab de Villiers inning. He said, “He played like a champion to get the record and it was his special day.” De Villiers scored fastest ton in 31 balls against South Africa.

2015 world cup is going to be the last ODI international series for Shahid Afridi as he has already announced that he’ll retire from One-Day cricket after world cup.
