Ranchi’s Jharkhand States Cricket Association (JSCA) International Cricket Stadium and Barabati Stadium in Cuttack will host Maharashtra’s remaining Vivo IPL games after the opening game on 9 April. As per news from our reporter in Mumbai, IPL and BCCI are planing to shift matches from Maharashtra to other venues after water crisis in the state.
Our reporter talked to an official member who denied to disclose his identity, has mentioned that matches will be relocated and will make official announcement on this in near future. He said, “We understand the water crisis in Maharashtra and will look forward to declare the venues in near future for rest of Maharashtra’s games after tomorrow’s opening match.”
The official also mentioned Odisha and Jharkhand states to host IPL games. “Ranchi and Cuttack Stadiums are in queue to host the matches. JSCA stadium hosted qualifier match last year and probably will host Pune team’s match this year.”
2015 Indian Premier League’s second qualifier match was played in Jharkhand. MS Dhoni belongs to Ranchi city and currently he is leading the Rising Pune Supergiants team in 2016 season.

Hence this is a strong base for BCCI and IPL to relocate Pune’s home matches to Ranchi while Mumbai Indians may play in Barabatt Stadium in Cuttack.
The official announcement will be made shortly. Today is the opening ceremony in Mumbai and tomorrow there will be opening match between Mumbai Indians and Pune Supergiants at Wankhede Stadium. SC allowed IPL 2016‘s opening match to take place as per scheduled.
