The 104th edition of Australian Open is set to air from 18th January and just before few days of tournament’s starting, men’s and women’s players seed and draw have been unveiled. Australian Open 2016 title defending champions Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are seeded no.1 and drawn in tough first round matches.

Australian Open 2016 Draw
Men’s world number 1 Djokovic to face 51 rank Hyeon Chung whereas women’s top seed Serena to play 35 rank Camila Giorgi in round-1 matches respectively. Great Britain’s no. 1 and Australian Open 2016’s seed 2 player Andy Murray is scheduled to play Germany’s Alexander Zverev.
Four time Aus Open Champion Switzerland star Roger Federer is third seed player in competition and will be facing Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili in first round clash. Spanish top star Rafael Nadal will be up against home mate Fernando Verdasco in first round match.

Former World no. 1 Lleyton Hewitt will be facing Australia’s James Duckworth in his 20th and final Australian Open championship.
In the women’s singles event, title reigning champion USA player Serena Williams will be looking to get fresh start in the event as she lost US Open 2015 semi-final against Roberta Vinci. Serena can expect to meet either Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki or Italian Sara Errani in the fourth round of Australian Open 2016.
Current world no. 2 and second seed in the event can meet Ana Ivanovic or Madison Keys in the fourth quarter.
