CONCACAF has announced the official draw and groups for upcoming Gold Cup 2015 tournament in July. The competition is scheduled to play from 7 to 26 July at United States and hosts USA are in the group A along with Haiti, Panama and one more nation between Honduras and French Guiana. Panama to take on Haiti in the opening game of 2015 Gold Cup on 7 July at Toyota Stadium.
Costa Rica, Jamaica, El Salvador and Canada are placed in the group B of tournament whereas Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Cuba and Guatemala are seeded in group C of CONCACAF Gold Cup.
CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb said, “We are anticipating an exceptional Gold Cup in 2015, with a grand finale weekend to be played right here in Philadelphia, a city with a special affinity for the world’s game. The sport has never been more popular throughout the Confederation, and this year’s Gold Cup – the crown jewel of regional soccer – will certainly demonstrate like never before our region’s passion for the game.”
